The film delves into Mel’s emotional journey of living in such a world and her challenges maintaining hope for the future.

A short documentary about Leia, an elderly woman who takes care of stray animals in Istanbul for about 40 years. Turkey and especially Istanbul are generally portrayed in international media as a place where stray animals live their best lives but the reality has more to it. In this documentary, we see the other side of the story by watching Leila’s journey and we witness how issues like poverty, gender and speciesism are interconnected.
As Long As I Remember You (2022)

A short film about someone visiting her grandmother’s summer house after several years of her death. There’s a feeling that nothing has changed because everything looks the same but at the same time many things have changed and will change. So, it seems that one’s memory is the only place that could preserve good times and loved ones.
